How's my peeps doing? So far the Sofa bed has been good to me.  I had good sleep the past few days.  Tomorrow is the last working day of the week. In the evening, I'm meeting my colleagues for drinks and karaoke.  Let's see what happens.

Ok... here's the thing I've been in the new apartment for a few days now. I have to say though the internet was a bit slow. Before I forget, I got those extra external antennae thinking it will make it receive better.  but who knew? It was slower.  Today via Speedtest.com, without the antennae it was able to get to the 2Mbps that was supposed to be.

Moving 1-O-1: Part 4

Today, I went to Pricerite to pick up my dining table. I had to take 2 trips, and at first, I thought it was all in one box. So, I was surprised when I opened the box.  What I bought was a Table, and 4 foldable chairs. So I was really surprised so I went back. But turns out I really needed to go twice cos it is 2 heavy boxes.

Now I am a Gunpla Fan, I have a few back at the old place. So putting the table all together was a Gundam figure. hay had an instruction manual. With the labels and pictures.

And so it is now place next to the sofa bed by the kitchen door.

But... that wasn't the end of my trips across the street to Dragon Centre. I had to go back for a third. This time I did a little grocery shopping. I bought bread, jams, noodles, chicken breasts and eggs at Wellcome Supermarket.

Whew! What a day! Any who, enjoy the pics of my very inexpensive table.

Its my second night at the apartment, got back home at around 11:00.  I went to Little Fat Sheep for dinner with my BFF's. Looking forward to see them again later this month and maybe catch Captain America.

Tomorrow I am gonna pick up my dining table with 4 chairs from Pricerite which is across the street. Fingers cross I don't pull a muscle. It is just a simple and inexpensive foldable table that is 31 inches wide. I'll blog the details of my foldable dining table tomorrow alongside my grocery list :) I gotta get some eggs and bread.

Internet is running slow today and it is sort of very late so I am gonna turn in.

First Night at the New Appt

With my temporary bed, internet and a cup of Coffee, I am spending my first night at the new apartment.

Not much going on, I just tried the phone function of the wireless fixed broadband by calling my bro. Well, it works like a phone. I also bought an external antennae for the wireless router, you know? Boost up the reception.

Which reminds me to buy printer ink! The old one spilt all over the printer need to do a cleanup as well.

Oh well, maybe throw my sheets and pillow case down the washing machine ;)

Moving 1-O-1: Part 3

Now we've come to part 3 of moving extravanganza.

Today, my internet connection is setup. Its not really home fixed line broadband. its just mobile beoadband but with a mobile hsdpa router.

The device is Huawei's 970b with the SIM card already inserted and protected by a warranty sticker.
The speed is tolerable with the occassional bumps but all in all its pretty ok for HK$148/mo.

Moving 1-O-1: Part 2

Today my temporary bed arrived! My Orange coloured sofa bed has arrived! Now I can sleep in the new apartment and hunt for ghosts ;)

First up the Sofa Bed, its 49 inches wide with the armrest (36 without), and pulls out to 6 ft. There are 2 drawers at the bottom which eventually becomes one of the end support.

I also had the time to clean my toaster, for those western breakfast days with scrambled eggs :)

My Toaster is by Philips, like the coffeemaker it was free after trading in credit card points. I've also taken in our water heater its by Pensonic and can boil water up to 1.7 litres.

Moving 1-O-1: Part 1

Well things are looking up at my moving endeavor. Living the life of a bachelor hehe. Yesterday, my washing machine and refrigerator arrived! Finally!

This my very "petite" washing machine. Though it is small in size this thing has a very strong motor with a capacity of 4kg.

My refrigerator is manufactured by Toshiba. Its the usual 2 door fridge. And my sis panicked cos she said it doesn't fit in the kitchen... But they just didn't push it in against the wall... =.=

I am also bringing our rarely used coffeemaker. It by Philips and we got it for free from HSBC Credit Card rewards... Back when they weren't cheap ;p
