What's new? I got a new camera; the Nikon J1. Its a small compact DSLR, some people call it PEN; I call it a mini-DSLR. Yes, I'm upgrading myself in terms of Photography. I got it off Groupon for less than one thousand the SRP. It comes with a 10-30mm lens(not much in the zoom department).
So on a sunny Sunday afternoon, we went to Yuen Long district's Nam Sang Wai to take pictures. To me was my first experience with a sort of DSLR camera. Neo was good at teaching ;) after a few short lectures I figured out how to use the camera.
Below are my pre-shoot test shots, first is too dark and next is too bright.
After that I kinda got the rhythm!
Now, the path we took was crazy! It was like going through a farm field infested with zombies or witches. I loved it! There were trees down that we had to jump over or crawl into. There were also weird white stuff on the plants. They were either bird poop or some sort of insecticide.
It was a long walk but I had a lot of fun! This is a good start, later on will be posting more about our adventures and might start doing human models. I have started with my latest toy: Family Guy's S&M Peter and Lois. I'll post about that in another entry.
