Clouded Memory

I am back from Singapore last weekend for my sister's graduation. Other than the graduation, I also went to Universal Studios with my brother and other places. I've uploaded the pics in Facebook. As usual I will be blogging about it but not now haha.

So, since I got back I've been using (or should I say playing) Cloud Solutions from 3 different providers. I have Dropbox, Box and just this week Google Drive.

For now I use Box the most because I got 50Gb free for life; thanks to Sony Mobile's promotion. As most Cloud solutions, Box also have a desktop client to sync files from computer to the Clouds. I also used Box to copy photos from my mobile so I can upload them to Facebook Albums, since the Facebook App can't upload albums; at least I can't find that function. The sync speed is tolerable, my 197MB files took about 30 mins to sync.

Most recently, I signed up for Google Drive. They give you 5Gb free space to use. I haven't used it much so I couldn't say much about it yet. If you want to know more hit the links below.

The main focus of Cloud solution is syncing; the speed, the ease of use, backup and sharing.

Turn me ON: The Mountain Lion Hackintosh, Nexus 7 and New Plan

Hey everybody, or no body. I don't really care if you are human or not; as long as you read my blog ;)

Love this song by David Guetta. In a way it relates to my current mood because I feel I need a reboot in life.

So my plans to revamp my website slightly took a little delay. I focused on creating a Mac Pro Hackintosh with my HP  S5128HK desktop PC.

So first and foremost the pc specs. Its Core2Duo with 4GB RAM, 2TB HDD, and with a Geforce G210 512MB display card. Yes, its Core2Duo. This model was released in 2009... so... shut up :p Complete specs here.

I tried installing iAtkos first on the machine and tried to do an upgrade from there but the Mountain Lion installer requires to have a GUID partition which forced me to transfer the files from other partition and rebuild the whole HDD.

There were a lot of weird hurdles with this Hackintosh. Most stuff didn't work such as the wifi card and audio. Gur! I have to reinstall a couple of times because of a Kernel Panic! Oh and I forgot to mention the tools I used. I used Unibeast to create the bootable USB of ML and Multibeast ML Version for Post Installation options such as installing the Bootloader ;)

Now after a couple of reinstall and Kext Installs every thing pretty much works as they should. So I kinda feel like I have a new Mac! LOL So I will be transferring my files from my Macbook Pro to my new Hackintosh so it can be my main machine at home. Then, clean up the Macbook.

That done, I have a few new design ideas for the website. I'm not a super web programmer so my skills are just very basic but I try my best to mask that amateur web programming and make up thru designs.

With my artwork, I have been doing a lot of Black and whites lately then with the magic of Instagram... its magic!

On the Tech Front, I have a Nexus 7 ordered and waiting. I haven't decided if I will keep it for personal use or sell it for profit.

On the Career front, I have started to look outside the window and find for better opportunities. I did have a mental shutdown and social log off. I do fantasize of working outside Hong Kong but Fate is Fate so just keep on keeping on! 

Lastly, waiting for Drag Race All Stars to start in October.
