So its the day before my last day at my current job. It has been a relatively quiet journey but as most journeys in life it has come to an end. Looking forward to the future in this game of Monopoly, just kidding I don't play Monopoly. This game of something.
I am getting for my short break. A few days to not work and just be running around. Took out my small carry-on luggage and start pre-packing.
I had 2 Starbucks Latte today. Coffee is life. Caffeine gives life.
No new artwork so far. Busy with handing over my role to my replacement. Busy pre-packing my luggage. Busy looking up station names in Tokyo and create a route.

I came across this list of good Japanese Horror (j-Horror) films. I have seen a couple on the list. I actually only seen a third of the movies on this list.
I got a replacement cap for my Nikon J1 lens because I lost the original one long time ago and took me up to now to get a replacement. So I went to Mongkok Sim City, it is known as the camera mall; ironic with the name though. You can get anything camera in this mall. Cameras, lens, cases, bags and accessories. Everything to anything. Nowadays a lot of Audio shops have been popping up.
Watching Japan ghost video specials on Youtube. I couldn't find where to get the HD version of these videos. I love watching them, like I said before I love paranormal stuff, not gore stuff but ghost stuff. So I don't really care if the video is fake, to me the entertainment value is most important. If it feels close to real; I'm good.
So my replacement started today, that means I am in teacher mode. Tired. Pretty much. Tomorrow, going to China to introduce the new guy.
My mind is all over the place at the moment. Worrying a bit. But. I will just power through as I always do. It will all work out. I want some Jollibee Hotdog.
So... Osaka just had an Earthquake a pretty strong one. That ain't stopping me though because my Japan trip is 2 weeks later anyway. Just in case, I need to buy travel insurance. I am preparing my cameras that I will be bringing, I will bring an empty drawing pad because Japan is obsessed with stamping, not the mail stamps but ink stamps, so I have a blank paper to stamp like symbols and stuff. Batteries need to bring some backup. I don't have new equipment. I am using my old cameras. I have a GoPro 3, a XiaoYi action Cam 1, an Insta360 Nano and a Nikon J1. Oh! Also a Kumamon Special Fujifilm Instax Mini 8.
I went to Shamshuipo yesterday. I wasn't able to login to Pokemon Go yesterday; I don't know why but today it seems fine. So I got some more extra batteries, films for my instax and I was thinking of getting an extra SD Card but I'll think about it. I also got a Japan Data SIM card because gotta be online. The SIM Card the last time I bought was about HKD250-300 but this time it is only HKD100. I was shook. I also have to put together a list on how to get to the Hotel and the different places, you know? At least have the station names on hand.
So starting to work on some of the shows, I have to keep up with uploading more videos so I can relax more and don't feel rushed.
I haven't posted in a while but I'm back again, bringing news saying that I will be gone again. I'm not disappearing immediately but I will probably have less posts end of June because I have decided to take a short trip to Tokyo! JAPAN! Yes, I booked it and I am going. It also means 1 important thing... POKEMON!!! Or 300 plus in that case.
So the whole reason I decided to go... Wait back track! Let's start in the beginning. I love Japan because when I was a kid they would show Japan Video Topics. It was a show about, well obviously Japan and its culture. I fell in love with Japan and thought; I still do to be honest, that it was the coolest country in the world. Why I didn't move to Japan? That is a different Pandora's box. Anyways, so Japan, cool, majestic and I love it.
So while I am in my waiting phase for my new job I had been looking at places to do in the week that I will be resting. Since I have been to Japan. Sapporo, Hokkaido to be exact I was browsing through where else in Japan I could go. Then while in my random Youtube viewing I stumbled upon a new channel. It is not really new, the guy has been a Youtuber for awhile now. So I discovered Unlisted Leaf's video of the Pokemon Mega Center in Tokyo.
It looks insane, it looks wild, it looks so good. So I decided I have to go. I may or may not be able to go to other places I don't care but the Pokemon Center is top of my list. I have been to the Sapporo one and Chitose Airport mini store but I didn't buy much stuff there which I regret but money was a bit tight back then. I am surprised too that I can't find a picture of the Pokemon Store when I was there! I cant guarantee a what could happen when I get to the Tokyo Store but I sure will take a lot of videos and pictures this time around.
Today I went to Causeway Bay because there is a Pokemon Carnival. There was a giant Pikachu Blow up statue. They dancing Pikachus, 6 of them to be exact. They were very cute to watch while dancing...
BUT seriously, it was so small it wasn't even a fair. They had a giant blow up Pikachu, a tent that was about 3 by 10 metres that had 3DS consoles inside and another setup with 5 small Pikachus for people take pictures with. It wasn't a carnival. Also there was no Merch! Where's the fucking merchandise store? They had the nerve to call it a Carnival.
Anyway, so after that we went up to the Donguri Republic Store that had Totoro and all Studio Ghibli stuff. At the entrance of the shop, a big Totoro will greet you. They used to have a Cat-Bus inside too but they removed it. So browsed around and I bought a couple of toys... of course. I'll put them in one of Corrupted episodes. So look out for it.
Here comes the rain again, but we ain't gonna get copyright infringement. So the rain is here. It is pouring... like... POURING! My shoes got so wet yesterday I had to go to "Living Plaza" to get a pair of flip flops while my shoes were getting dry. So if you don't know, "Living Plaza" is known as Daiso in Japan and is like a 99 cents store here in Hong Kong. They sell everything to anything Japanese and stuff that don't have a price tag costs HK$12. It used to be HK$10 but you know? Economy. So now they charge, unless labeled, HK$12. So back to the rain and today was no different. It is pouring hard and I am hoping for a signal 8 tomorrow because I am not enthusiastic to go to work because as you know I put in my month notice and I have 2 weeks left after this week.
In other news, I got my RAM module that was back ordered. So my iMac is now running with 24GB of RAM. I can already tell the difference. I have Virtual Box installed for my Windows 10 and back then when it was only 8GB, there was a lag. Now everything is running smoothly. My Final Cut Pro is also loading faster. I got 2 of the 8GB RAM Modules so that comes to 16GB and my iMac came with 2 of a 4GB RAM. All the slots are now used up. Apple says it only support up to 32GB but other third party sites says 64GB. Before I bought the 16GB upgrade I was obsessing to get 64GB. But for now 24GB is fine and I am satisfied so maybe in the future I might add some more but for now I'm good. So all in all it is a good upgrade and a good investment.
Today I have an artwork... Hurray!... Hurrah? Whatever. I am not completely happy with it but it is one of the better one that I have drawn. I am not so happy with the hair I drew and I think I got heavy handed on shading the cheeks. Although I saw some flaws, after a few digital retouching it turned out for the better.
This is just a quick post before going to bed... Get your mind out of the gutter LOL.
So WWDC 2018 was over, this year no new hardware or upgrade was announced. This year was purely software which what WWDC is teally anout. I will not go into detail on that. If you want details then Google it or just go to Apple’s website.
Speaking of Apple, I bought some RAM modules yesterday to upgrade my iMac but turns out they were incompatible. I had to go back to ShamShuiPo today get it replaced. The correct modules cost more and they ran out of stock but I was able to get 1 from the 2 modules I wanted. So it is an 8GB 1867 MHz module so my iMac will have a total of 24GB RAM. I decided to upgrade because of video editing and I installed a virtual Windows Machine on my iMac and the original 8GB configuration was just not enough. So now I am running at 16GB until I get my next 8GB which should be available this week.
I’m on to the last episode of Syfy’s Channel Zero Season 2. I got a little busy today so wasn’t able to watch it.
Today in US time, Apple is holding their WWDC event. Maybe updates on hardware will be announced. So hold back on any purchases because you might regret it later today. WWDC is more anout software but Apple usually throws in Mac hardware updates. I don’t know if there’ll be iPhone SE updates or accessories like Watch and AirPods but we will find out in a few hours.
I have been watching Channel Zero season 2... finally. Season 2 much like season 1 is interesting. Is it mind blowingly good? Well it is good. Is it confusing? At times. So season 2 is about the house at the end of the road that is haunted. Tales as old as time, am I right? So this house has a maze in it, rooms that go on forever. It goes on until the line between reality and the house is so blurry. The main characters are lost. So I recommend watching it; may not be the best but it only has 6 episodes and you won’t feel you wasted your time.
Working my last month at this job. I’m not sure what the future holds but hopefully it will be for the better.
