Hey everybody...
Another day and tomorrow another work day, don't worry I am not gonna be whining because we already know that part. So anyway, last rest day. I went to see Fantastic Beast Crimes of someone I don't know. The Movie was OK. Stuff was happening and had nice effects; obviously I didn't know what was going on but I was here for it. Most of the time I was like... Tina...? Tina? Forgot her name already. I was staring at her and kept thinking she looks familiar... and then it hit me! Oh its the bitch from Alien: Covenant. The other thing I noticed in this film and not sure if it was written exactly in the novel was that, everybody was twitching. A lot of twitching was going on and I was like whats this? What's happening here? Are you on some narcotics because fear ain't nothing close to a twitch. Lastly, I was mesmerized by Ezra Miller's jaw because it was strong and in your face. Obviously didn't know his name until credits rolled. All I thought of was that this supposed French guy has a very strong Russian Jaw. Its a good film but did have a lot of what I call extended play, because it was long and 3 quarters into the movie all I could think of was that I had to pee.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving Day, at least in this timezone. So my flatmate requested to have a Thanksgiving celebration. So I bought a Turkey which surprisingly was not as expensive as I thought it would be. I bought the Turkey the day before and thawed it overnight. Next I thought to add into the menu was dessert and thought of Croissant Pudding. Now, I love to watch Barefoot Contessa especially the earlier seasons. That is why I decided to do Croissant Pudding and obviously used her Lemon and Thyme recipe of a Perfect Turkey. The Pudding wasn't as successful mainly because I neglected to read the instructions again and missed the part of the water bath when cooking in the oven. So I had to change to a smaller pan and everything was short changed...? short changed? Anyway it wasn't a 100% success of a pudding.
The Turkey though was successful especially for a first try. I have a small oven and that was a concern but I turned it out and made it work. One point to change next time was to turn the turkey around half way so it browns evenly because the side closer to the oven door wasn't as brown. That being said the Turkey was great, it was cooked and tasted good. So while the turkey was thawing it suddenly hit me. I need a sauce! A gravy! So I had to go to the supermarket and get some ingredient to make a mock of a KFC gravy. So I made gravy and some corn and potatoes. I didn't make Pie which I always make but I guess I thought the turkey was already a task in itself so I decided with the pudding and easier to make. I might do it again next year or for other holidays but I work on holidays so I guess that won't work I guess.
Anyways I hope everybody enjoys their weekend. I won't because I work on the weekends.
