Ni No Kuni of Dragon Quest

So for the past 2 days I've been playing Ni No Kuni (Another World) a JRPG made by 2 companies who are currently on top of their games Studio Ghibli and Level 5. Before anything else; a trailer.

Ok, so for those who doesn't know. Studio Ghibli is a Japanese Animation company responsible for "My Neighbour Totoro", "Howl's Moving Castle" and my favorite movie of all time "Spirited Away".

They are known for their beautiful animations; captivating stories and breathtaking music by Joe Hisahi. I've always been inspired by Studio Ghibli's works especially with their fantasy-themed movies. They are able to take you to that different world where you basically believe it is true. They also mix old-school anime with new generation animation. Growing up with anime, I love those hand drawn characters; it feels like home. Every good movie has a good soundtrack, Joe Hisahi is a master. Every beat, rhythm and melody hits the spot which makes your heart teleport into the story; into your imagination.

Level 5, for me at least, has come up with very beautiful and enjoyable games; most specifically Dragon Quest. I am a Dragon Quest fan and love what they did with Dragon Quest 8. The cell-shading graphics was breathtaking, the game-play that doesn't get you all frustrated. They also did Dragon Quest IX and the upcoming Dragon Quest X. I've played Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS and it having an inferior hardware; not the fancy processor or HD screen. Level 5 did a hell of a good job with Dragon Quest IX.

So. Ni No Kuni. Why did I titled this post as (Ni No Kuni) Another World of Dragon Quest? I felt that it was Dragon Quest on a different world and dimension. When you look at it, you know its Studio Ghibli but when you play the game, its Dragon Quest which a huge plus for me because it has combined 2 of my favorite things.

Playing the Game, I kinda have that feeling of watching a movie and playing a RPG game at the same time. The cut scenes are mixed of Theater Movie style and Cell-shading movie. The Game is obviously beautifully made; especially the landscapes.

The Gameplay is not totally Dragon Quest; its not completely turn based where enemies can attack you whilst you are choosing your next move but the controls over all is easy to remember. What I also like about it is that it has cursor that shows where your next target is. I'm not sure if its the difficulty setting because its japanese and I don't read japanese. But I like the cursor cos then I won't get frustrated when I get stuck or forget where I'm supposed to go. The game also features Magic Spells which are a hack itself because at some interactions you can go through each spell until the correct one activates and you don't lose MP points.

For HK$120 from about HKD500 from when it was released; its a good catch that I found. Its definitely an awesome game grab a copy too, its well worth it.

Temptation is a bitch called Apple

So Apple has a few new gadgets, well may not be on top of the game but still very tempting in its own right.

The 2 gadgets I'm most intrigued about is the new iPod Touch and the iPad Mini. Well honestly, its because of the design. The New iPhone is also ok but I like the other 2 more aesthetic-wise.

Ok, so both device have the A5 Dual Core Processor the main difference is that iPod has a 4 inch screen and iPad Mini has 7.9. Both have Lightning connector, Siri, same cameras (front 1.2 MP and back 5.0 MP with HD) and Bluetooth 4.0.

Difference? iPod don't have the cellular option. Screen resolutions differ as well, obviously. iPod though has more colors to choose from. I love the Red color and it supports (PRODUCT) RED which supports HIV research so its kinda like charity as well. I also passed by the IFC Apple store got a little fun time with it and design it was beautiful. The device also flowed smoothly. Apple made it work.

Also the versions of iOS 6 is a little different; the iPad having the tablet optimised iOS.Apple has made the iOS as user-friendly as they can and optimised the iOS to work smoothly with their devices.

Sadly it only has 2-core CPU and only 512 MB RAM so for the resource hungry users this 2 device may not be for you. But for existing Apple users its a worthwhile thought.

So remember Temptation is a bitch called Apple ;)

Forget d bling bling, Baby can ya swing swing?!

As usual, been a couple of weeks before I posted again. Why? Its because I'm lazy deal with it LOL. Before we start, I will say this post is a lot of Youtube and TV shows I've been watching.

Anyways, let's get into business. I've been watching a lot of Sommore in Youtube. She is one funny black fabolous b*tch. Most of her jokes focus on dicks with her hood-ghetto-black accent. Not for the kids obviously.

I was watching Raven doing Morgan McMichaels perform to a Dick Medley that I found out about Sommore. It may be a little "for adults only" but it makes sense and you can feel that you can relate to her humor. As for the Dick Medley it was a Mashup of comedians talking about dicks and the song "Big Dick Man" by Sex Club XXX. Aww the nineties, simpler times and awesome club music.

Speaking of Raven. Rupaul's Drag Race All Stars has started... FINALLY! I got another show to watch. So its a lot of good and some bad. Good that favorites are back... a little bad that they had to be paired and they didn't choose their partner prior into coming to the show. First out were Mandora. I liked Pandora but I didn't like how she just gave up and blamed it on Mimi.

Another show with a new season is Modern Family! I am kinda disappointed that they replaced Stella the Dog... The original French Bulldog Brigette was WAY cuter.

Gloria is now pregnant and they made her into this crazy and angry woman which is still funny. They introduced Phil's-o-sophy, hilarious nonsense about life lessons. What else they have in store... well gotta keep on watching.

My website is complete... I think. For now. I'll put maybe more stuff into it but for now its simpler, sophisticated and smaller.

Halloween is coming up, no plans yet. Thanksgiving, Super Bowl, Christmas then the Mayan Calendar Apocalypse. Lots of holidays coming up... but no plans yet.

I dreamt of a cock roach 2-3 days back... If I remember correctly I ate it in my dream... I looked up its meaning online and 2 definitions were correct (but nothing was said about eating a roach). First, I'm dirty... I know that; Thank you ;) Second, was Renewal. I need to re-evaluate my prospect in life and strive for that change. So fingers crossed!

As for my Art, I've got some new ones posted; click on the Colorful link to see my slideshow. I've also done some Photoshopping with my coworkers pic. Its fun but I think I'm trying to cover up frustrations with humor.

Remember kids, in many areas of life. Some times you have to spit BUT I'm a swallower. So keep on keeping on and kick them in the nuts if they piss you off LOL.
