So I've started drawing and sketching again. Not all of my works works. Did that make sense? Lol anyways it's a hit or miss not all are good or I like. But I realize most of my best drawings are from my random thought when I go blank on my job or what I should be really doing.
My latest work is a fantasy-themed rabbit in a feather suit. I seem to be too inspired by "My Ghost Story" that I've been watching non stop for the past few days. The idea started off as a shadow figure with a Joker-like smile with the crazy eyes stating at you. But when I started sketching a rabbit came out and it sort of work out the original idea. At times I do like to making my designs a bit over the top so that's where the feathers came in. I wanted something to puff up the neck area but also contrast fur of the rabbit. Jewelry plays a big part in the fantasy aspect of my art. I do have this concept of crystal bringing power or being a source of power. I probably got this concept from the cartoons I watched when I was small and I watched a lot of mystical girl cartoons back then like Sailormoon, Slayers and She-Ra.
I have drawn a couple more prior to NYE. A bit She-Ra inspired, I was sort thinking of making a fan fiction but I don't know if it will all come together or just be sketches. I've made my versions of She-Ra, the Sorceress, the King and an ancestor Adora. I have a sort of storyline playing in my head at the moment. its still swimming like a goldfish in my fishbowl head. Writing is hard! I do have thought of making illustrations for authors but my circle is very small; I enjoy it being small don't get me wrong but I should start making it bigger.
I have also started using Instagram again. I am still a bit reserved in using it because of the whole fiasco of their new terms and conditions where they can sell your pics without compensating the owner. I know I'm not a big name but knowing that a sort of corporation is making profit from people's efforts... It's... Clearly stealing. Especially being an artist, it's your intellectual property you are trying to put out there; then someone else trying to harvest the fruits of your labor is quite unsettling. So we'll see on Instagram's sort "evil" plan and hope for the best.
I've yet to figure out how to make use of my website for some sort of profit. At the end of the day I'm still human and I need money. LOL.
