20130929 - Almost Banquet

Finished packing for today's event. I hope I don't forget anything. I got a lot of backups DVD's, adapters, sewing kit... Should I bring my glue gun? I need to power up my devices. Camera, phone and other stuff.

 

Feeling a lot of bugs in my tummy. Too much emotions happening aside from the banquet excitement.

 

House a mess, can clean it up after all this.

20130928 - I guessed wrong

Is it because I don't show my emotions; so automatically I don't feel it? Is it because everybody else can easily show theirs so they are right? I want to say a lot of things but I stop myself because people are sensitive. They think I'm not. I remember a celebrity once said "it doesn't what people call you, its who calls you that; which matters".

 

I'm disappointed and its interesting finding out how I am perceived and how it was... (*bleep* too many words that have to be censored for sensitive people). I'm disappointed how it ended up. I can't feel regret for it because things happen for a reason.

 

I will feel sad and depress for awhile. Scared for awhile. Contemplating and I will come to an epiphany.

 

Things happen for a reason, I'm the underdog for a reason. I haven't found the reason yet. I can't grab on to anybody, I open up but I don't grab on people to support me so I have to move on. I have to stand up for myself, no one can do it for me but myself.

 

Things definitely won't be the same and you know what? I'm used to it. I'm not asking for pity, I already received too much of it from myself. As usual, I will take the fall. Thank you.

20130926 - What's next Crystal Ball? What? Lunch? Again?

I'm already thinking of the next Craft Project... I may expand the Threads & Needles project, go back to Papercrafting or finally buy that spray painter and start Gunpla-ing. So much possibility, so little time, so very lazy... LOL

 

PETA ALERT! LOL The chicken we had for lunch today looked like it was smiling. Well... Now it looks like its having a good sleep. I wonder what its dreaming about... Maybe a good meal, its eating a very good tasty meal from... KFC! LOL

 

 

Yesterday, we ate at a Noodles place I had a milk tea, I paid HK$10 for this milk tea but its just in a plastic bottle soaked on a bowl of ice... Not inspiring enough for the its price... This place was ok but most of their food are spicy. I had stewed noodles with fried pork chop and some water buffalo or something fillets.

 

 

 

So what's next after Threads & Needles... Think Think Think ;)

20130925 - Crazy Shoes

Tried my shoes for the banquet... They are crazy high, uncomfortable, but gorgeous as sh*t! I love it. Its a custom designed Converse Chuck Taylor XX-Hi sneakers, goes all the way up to my knees. The body is color white with black base and red accents/lace. Its a simple design, I agree but its definitely very graphic and fabulous. It goes with the whole color theme I am going for, so I am happy. I put in my old tag line "Be Afraid" on the sides which I also started to use again. Re-did my Kitty Cap picture added my URL address and Be Afraid... Don't it look like Music Single LOL... Maybe I should make a song called "Be Afraid"... (Thinking) I love this picture after editing, because I look very fat on the original picture and I was just wearing a wife-beater (sando to my pips).

 

 

 

After trying the shoes, I found out my right leg is bigger than my left and YES! I used up the lace! There is a zipper on the back for easy removal or putting on. Originally I was looking into Dr. Maartens but they cost twice as much and may not be as flexible as the cloth sneakers. I had the shoes flew in by my friend, these pair seriously went on a round trip because it originated from Shenzhen, flew to San Francisco then back to Hong Kong! Why don't Converse provide the custom design service here?!? I would use it all the time! I actually a couple more studded Chuck Taylors, not cheap! At all, but maybe later on because its so punk rock!

 

 

Y'all like my Stewie jammies? I will be wearing a red pair of pants darker than the lace sort of like burnt something... I'm an artist but don't get me wrong I don't remember all the fancy color names. That said, I quickly looked it up on Wikipedia and I think the shade of red of my pants is Carmine. So it will blend in with the red lace and the black tongue of the shoes. I will also be wearing a pink blazer so the Red for Filth theme is on! Darling! It is uncomfortable on the back part of the ankle probably bevause of the teeth of the zipper. I've always wanted a knee high pair of shoes, I wouldn't mind some high heels as well because I've always wanted to be even taller. I'm a little shorter than 5'8 which is average to Chinese and a bit taller than Filipinos. I've always dreamed of being 6 feet or taller LOL.

 

 

Busy day at work, don't know why but it is good because I won't get bored. Y'all should notice the date on the title is of Yesterday 25 Sept but I guess this post is about yesterday so it should be correct ;) I'm watching a web-series starring James St.James, called Transformations I will probably about the webisodes after the wedding because the make-up work is brilliant! Thats it for now Good Night!

20130924 - Bedazzled Bird

 

Do you guys like my bedazzled bird? For those thinking of a different bird, rude! But I do have a fascination with piercings. I don't have anything to write actually, to be honest, in reality, frankly... Did I get all the frequently used phrases to say "literally"? Oh! That's another one and 100%, I keeps it real, I keeps it 100. LOL. Back to the birds, I made 2. Not Identical in design of course, so as the birds the other bird is chubby. I replaced the original green bird because I couldn't get one more so I just completely bought 2 new ones instead.

Today storm Usagi left Hong Kong. F-ing lying b*tch this Usagi... YOU PROMISED ME A TYPHOON SIGNAL 10!!! The b*tch just came with a Typhoon 8 didn't even last through the day! So I had to go back to work! Hong Kong sucks at dealing with Typhoons. Once it goes down, everybody goes back to work... Some even starts to line up for the bus while its still typhoon signal 8! Worst part, like a conspiracy theory, all typhoon signals were dropped within just an hour. Oh so the all day signal 3 the day before was just a joke? Yesterday I thought she would really rain and blow but that didnt happen until like midnight! I just spent all day gluing crystals to the new birds for the platform.

 

 

Enough ranting, so the typhoon made me cancel the photoshoot that was supposed to be last Sunday. We will have to wait until my sister's wedding banquet is over because its this Sunday. I am preparing the stuff I will bring to the wedding like the doll dresses, the platform that will hold the dolls, extra batteries, a lint remover and etc. I got a kitty cap for my outfit; had my look done already so that's done. The main theme is red or red-ish with white shoes and I threw in a blue polka dot shirt. I was juggling between white or blue polka dot shirt. I decide on blue but nit sure yet.

 

 

Excited though that my best squirrel friends are flying in to town to join the banquet. So a lot fun stuff to do, I haven't figured out what yet but its going to be a blast. I originally planned to go karaoke but I think it'll be better to take them outside instead. The Giant Buddha Trip is in the plan because they haven't gotten to there yet. Shopping of course. Food tripping and pigging out is on the list as well.

 

I finished the videos that will be shown at the banquet I made a total of 3 videos, comprising of 8 songs. I made my sister a mini-website of the wedding so I will put the Youtube Playlist there and also pictures. I plan to make a 4th video of wedding blessings from people I know, messages for the couple. Lots of song and pictures mash up.

 

I am exhausted and its starting to sink into depression mode... My usual direction in life; either into anger or depression. I'm working against this because its starting to become stronger and its not good at all.

Today at work, we were showing a recorded version of Burberry Prorsum's Womenswear S/SW14 show. Its my first time to support this kind of stuff. What do you do when you providing standby support? Easy, you Twit pics and instavideo the shit LOL well that or you play with your Phone.

 

 

 

I couldn't get another bird for my diorama/stand. Seems the previous store I got it from ran out and their new batch doesn't look like the one I got. So I will look around nearby shops maybe they have it. The dresses are done except for 2 crystals that I will glue on the Chinese theme dress. I can't say its complete because I might add some more crap onto the dresses.

 

Making videos, planning the website addition, then comes Friday... BOOM! PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!! LOL Its mid-autumn bitches! Today at lunch I can feel the autumn breeze blowing. Its a good sign, that this year will be colder and Winter would, hopefully, come on time.

 

I figure I will post anything everyday, even the silliest, senseless and uninteresting stuff that happened to me or I saw. LOL. I guess thats what having an online identity is all about and better than waiting for something special to happen before posting. Regular posts even if its senseless because somewhere out there some will understand it even though you yourself don't understand WTF you put out there. LOL.

Early Day Randomness

Yes! I said early day because it is technically the earlier part of the day; being 0:22 as I am writing this. I just wanted to do some random post again with of course some logical updates. So first off anybody seen the new DWV video parody of the song "Blurred Lines". You know the video with all the titties sung by Robyn Thorne... ? Throbe? Thorpe??? Getting away from the point. So DWV rewrote the song about Amanda Bynes who recently gone crazy and went into both real life and social media fest. Crashing cars and apparently tweeted to murder her va-jay-jay. This version I like better much like the "Boy is a Bottom" song which was sampled of "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys. With Blurred Bynes they have more lyrics than the original which just kept repeating a lot of the verses and phrases. Funny stuff.

 

 

 

I am still working on Project: Threads & Needles. I am making a stand for the love dolls... Sounded wrong! For Cony and Brown. I made it from a chopping board I got from Japan Home, Barbecue pokers and some clip on lights from IKEA. It has taken on a few different incarnations already but I've figured out how to make it 2 Birds instead of the original 1. There is only 1 bird on the pic because I haven't bought the second bird. On a related matter, I am also making the videos to present on the wedding banquet. I finished 1 video already so 2 more to go. To elaborate further, I am making 3 videos. No. 1 for the couple's early years in life; childhood, school and before they met each other. No.2 is sort of the dating phase, all about the cheesy love dance. No. 3 (which I already made) is the pre-wedding pics and wedding day pics. So obviously a lot of work ahead and I haven't completed my look yet! Its difficult to get the right shirts this day because I am on the plus size models category. That said, I am trying to take a simpler more basic direction for the look.

 

 

 

 

 

I have updated my professional profile, added my current employment to the list to attract employers abroad. Yes, I still dream of getting a job on a another country. I do feel like a nomad, when the resources at the current place no longer works out they move on to different place. I feel I've reached that state already that I need to start migrating. My current job is good but if the choice has to be made and employment abroad presents itself... *wink *wink.

 

 

 

Last weekend's Family Dinner. I removed the casing from my iPad Mini about an hour ago, I forgot how light it is. Almost 1:00, Mid-Autumn Festival is arriving soon. I'm a get me a plastic lantern. I got one last year; it was a Doraemon one. I am thinking of getting a Stitch this year, that'll be fun too... zzzZzzZZZ

Threads and Needles

 

I've been talking about my latest project which are dresses for my sister's wedding dolls. I made 4 sets of dresses so that comes to a total of 8 looks; 4 for the bride doll aka Cony and 4 for the groom doll aka Brown. By the way this are 14 inches tall dolls so they are like Baby tall sizes but the bodies are very small as oppose to their huge heads. Don't get me wrong, these are very cute dolls.

 

Since this is just a hobby of mine and I tend to make it like a big corporate social event. Now, most social events use this tricky marketing, attention-grabbing label or naming schemes. So I was contemplating on what to call this project. At first, I thought of using single word titles to sum up the essence and WTF I am doing. That was hard, very difficult then I just came to the conclusion of calling it as it is; what I was working with. I was sewing so I am calling this project; officially as "Threads & Needles". I know some of you will ask what about the glue gun? Well my answer to that is make your own GD project and name it whatever you like... LOL!

 

As most imaginary huge social events, you gotta have promotional posters. I did a couple and showed them on my social pages and on my last post, BUT I still have to make one for the official title of the project. So there you see, first thing on this post is the promotional picture. I am still planning when to do the photo and video shoot. I've already thought of making 2 videos, a "making of" and an editorial video. "Making of" video obviously from the name itself will feature the background process of getting to the end result which is the editorial video. I've never done any videos of me talking so this will be a first (because as most people I don't really like my recorded voice). I haven't decided on the music for the editorial video but I might use a Sarah Slean song because I want that ethereal feel to it.

 

And so that's the current project at hand. I am hoping and planning to have a hobby project every month, every 2 months or once a quarter. I enjoy all these crafty projects and I hope you all do too. I leave you with the models for this project: Cony and Brown. Buh-bye!

Dolls Project Phase 2

And so my Master Project has reached a new phase. I've made the dresses, still missing a few details here and there, like hemming and maybe a couple more bling blings; but that phase is mostly complete. I finished the Chinese theme dresses last night. It does take a lot of hard work because most are basically hand sewing usually takes me a whole day to make a set of dresses; because a lot of times my mind phases out and wanders off. It can hurt the fingers especially when I poke myself with the needle or get burnt by the glue gun; but seeing the end result is very satisfying. So now that all 4 dresses are more or less complete we will soon be entering into phase 2.

 

 

Basically phase 2 is a fashion shoot for the Dolls. As usual its not gonna be just an ordinary point and shoot project. Of course there will be a sort of story and flow like an imaginary fashion shoot sans model attitudes and diva BS then a video compilation will come afterwards. The dolls will be used end of September for my sister's wedding banquet and I will upload the fashion shoot video in October probably around the 2nd week. It could later too because I will have to not only upload the video but add it to the website as well so that will take some work. You can see this project update on my Facebook page, getting into a bit of an imaginary marketing there with the promotional posters and artwork. Hopefully, someday I could make money out of my projects and continue to do what I enjoy.

 

 

So things are going to a good direction lots of updates and personal projects. I can showcase more of my artistic talents and nonsense LOL. I am mostly proud of my work and I hope people will like it as well.

A Doll in a wedding dress

I am writing this while a take a rest on my current master project. So what have I been doing lately, you ask? I am making dresses for dolls that will be displayed on my sister's wedding. I have made 2 sets already and 2 more on the way. What I have are 15 inch dolls of Cony and Brown from Naver Line stickers. You know? The messaging app made by a Japanese organisation that is a big hit in Asia, at least, or so I think.

 

 

Its a tradition (or gimmick but its fun so shut up) in Hong Kong to have 2 dolls

to represent the bride and groom. So I found Line Dolls and thought I will dress them up instead. You can get wedding dolls easily but I guess it will be more creative and personal to do it for my sister. Now, why 4 sets you ask? Its because my sister has 4 outfits on the banquet so I thought it will be clever and fun that when my sister comes out the dolls too has a costume change.

 

 

So. I've done the traditional white wedding dress and tuxedo set. By the way, Cony is the bride and Brown is the groom. You might have caught it on my opening theme video but I have added a couple more stuff since I took that picture. The second set I made are Red themed dresses. So Cony is in a red rose inspired couture dress and Brown is in a red Willy Wonka outfit complete with glasses and cane. Making Cony's dress is easier because I made her dresses sleeveless while Brown has tuxedo and suits. Thank goodness! I was clever enough to buy him in an office attire look; saves me the effort of making pants as well.

 

 

What's next are the Chinese themed wedding dresses, I'm not gonna go super creative or couture on it; at least right now because I haven't started on it yet. The other set I am currently working on is a purple Russian inspired look for Brown paired with a peacock green sexy dress for Cony. But how will I sew feathers you ask, apparently you can get them at the store and they sew it onto a a lace ribbon so you can sew it to any fabric you like or together over the lace ribbons.

 

I am having a lot of fun doing this project but I am tired so I will continue again tomorrow.

Life in Post Cards

So my website is now with its new face. I call it the postcard look. I know its very static (except for the twitcker at the bottom). I don't want to be a bit cliché but flat and static design is the current trend. I brought color to the website; contrary to the black and white palette of the last design. I did have a couple of a monotone designs that swam in my head but I think this postcard look is more cheerful and more welcoming. Besides I like the idea of a postcard to present the diary of my life and activities. Its like me sending everybody a postcard, a picture on one side and a short message on the other.

 

 

So the landing page and my "about" page has one big picture with my logo on top. Overlapped by the website items and at the bottom links to the sub-pages and social identity. For the landing page, we have my opening theme in the middle. I don't know if anybody noticed but I started using 3 new words for my videos; Inspiration, Intuition and Imagination. These 3 new words are more appropriate to explain my pages but I decided to continue to use my 3 C's. I think its more fun to have all C's and they are shorter, also, the effect to have 3 more words is better sort of building up to a climax. As for the About page, I went for "key details" approach because I did have a bit of a head scratch describing myself last time. Lastly, I made a 1 long row photo collage of my pictures from being baby to my most current picture.

 

 

Then we have my Creative and Colorful pages. Here we have 1 column on the left with my logo on top and social links at the bottom. On the right we have 2 rows. On the top is; I guess they call it a Header. It identifies which page my reader is at with links to other sub pages. On the second row we have 4 images that are linked to either YouTube playlists of the videos I made(Creative) and to image albums of my artworks(Colorful). I used FancyBox for the popup effect for the playlists and the albums. The blog page (Corrupted) sort of has the same design but not the full effect because I did have some problem modifying Blogger for this page. So I did my best to make it resemble the whole idea I was going for.
