So... I just watched my first Julia Child from Youtube. I was watching The Barefoot Contessa and it was one of the suggestions. So. Julia Child. I heard of her from Drag Race. I heard of her from The Barefoot Contessa. I just haven't went out of my way to look her up. Today I did. The first one I saw was her discussing lobster. Even without Julia Child I would have watched the video anyway because lobsters are delicious. I am craving lobsters but they are not the cheapest. Julia Child. She took out this enormous, huge, giant of a lobster and I couldn't not crave even more.
I think this was filmed live because she was all over the place. It felt like she struggled with English. It felt like she just everything no longer needed out of frame. She was very rustic. She said a lot of the wrong words. AND I AM HERE FOR IT. I'm not gonna lie, it was funny to watch. It was entertaining. So there was a lot of misspoken words here and there, she is not very measuring on the ingredients. That is not new to me though because The Barefoot Contessa is the same; not as much but she also likes to free hand on measurements. It didn't end there. I also liked when she went to grab the chives and tried to knuckle her way to cut it. That was funny and why I said she was very rustic. BUT then, it wasn't the only wrestling she did on this episode. She was wrestling with the lobsters. The one with the cold lobster was not a big struggle but the last one with the hot lobster was entertaining. At one point, she was also like "What the fuck am I doing this on camera?!". It was so funny. I love it.
So real life continues tomorrow... my feelings are the same as everybody about working. Gotta pay the bills and gotta earn those coins.
